Design Is History is an evolving web-based project designed to be a reference guide for graphic designers and students alike. From the author:
“Part of the graduate thesis of designer Dominic Flask, this site was created as a teaching tool for young designers just beginning to explore graphic design and as a reference tool for all designers.”
There’s holes in the history to be sure, with notable figures and firms still absent, but that’s the beauty of a resource like this, it can grow with time and become even more informational the more people get involved.
